Shop owner robbed of his cash and cigarettes

A few minutes later the suspect came back together with another two suspects who threatened him with a firearm.

A shop owner at Empumelelweni reported to the police that he was robbed at his shop.

The shop owner of Empumelelweni stated that on Friday, July 14 at about 18:45 he was at his shop busy serving a customer.

After sometime a suspect bought bread and after that left the shop.

After a few minutes the suspect came back together with another two suspects who threatened him with a firearm.

They demanded money and started searching in the shop. They then took with them cigarettes and R3 500 in cash and left the shop.

No shots were fired and no one has been arrested.

Police are investigating a case of armed robbery.
