The mother of the three children was known to suffer from depression but the question still remains; what caused their deaths?

Even though various pills were found next to the bed where the children were found what caused their deaths still needs to be determined.

The lifeless bodies of Ms Pearl Mhlanga (32), Quanisha Malang (8), Quirino (5) and Quain (seven-months-old) was found in a bedroom in their family home in Skiatos Complex in Reyno Ridge on Monday, July 10.


Crime forensics going into the house on Monday, July 10 to investigate the crime scene.

Blood and urine samples were sent away for testing to the Forensic Pathology laboratory in Pretoria once the autopsies were done.

The results from the laboratory could take up to three months, as there is a back log.

For now an inquest case has been opened at Witbank Police Station as results are still pending on the case.
