While opening his yard gate a man was hijacked and robbed.
The hijacking took place on September 9 at about 19:00.
A man arrived at his home in Walter Sisulu Street and got out of his car, he left it idling as he made his way to his gate to open it by hand.
At this time a Toyota Quantum pulled up and five men exited the combi, those who were armed with firearms pointed them at the man.
They demanded he hand over money and when he didn’t comply one of the suspects pushed him into the yard.
The suspects then climbed into the man’s vehicle, a Ford Ranger bakkie, and drove off with his possessions which he had in the car at the time.
These included a branded jacket, his electronic tablet and R2 000 in cash.
