Piet Koornhof building is closed
This was decided by the Department of Labour on Wednesday, September 20

The age old Piet Koornhof building will be closed until further notice.
This was decided by the Department of Labour on Wednesday, September 20 and according to information, the employees were given until Thursday, September 21 at 16:00 to remove their belongings as it will not open for business from Friday, September 22.
This is due to numerous problems with the building, which poses serious risks for employees.

Mr Slovo Mathibela, chairperson of NEHAWU who visited the Piet Koornhof building on Wednesday, September 20. Here he shows that the foundation of the building is not what it used to be, as water flows underneath the building and this is one of the major concerns.
