In the early morning of November 21 a high speed chase took place on the N12 direction Johannesburg, Gauteng. Two suspected vehicles involved with tyre theft were followed and pulled over.

One of the South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) responders was contacted on the morning regarding a truck that contained stolen tyres on the N12 but a security company had already detained the suspects who were travelling in a small truck and an additional vehicle.

It was further alleged that the security company followed these tyre thieves from Hendrina.
On the scene it came to light that the vehicle that escorted the small load truck was a black BMW with four suspects travelling in it.

A resident, on his way home from work travelling on the N12 towards eMalahleni alleged that he heard the rumours about a black BMW travelling with truck full stolen truck tyres. He coincidently spotted the vehicles and immediately blocked them off on the opposite side of the highway.

He then stopped them and went to the truck and introduces himself asking them where they got the tyres and the driver of the truck said from a certain person in Machadodorp or Belfast, the complainant stated to the police.
