Five cows and three calves go missing

After herding his cattle to their shelter, he noticed that some of the cattle had gone walk about.

On Thursday, January 4 between 11:00 and 18:30 Mr Mandekosi Xhakaza who left his cattle to graze in the open veldt near Old Coronation, received a phone call from a woman who asked him to remove the cattle from the vendors next to the road.

Xhakaza went to collect his cattle and herded them back to their normal grounds.

When he got back to the grounds, he noticed that three calves and five cows were missing.

On Saturday, January 6 a few days later he went to the same place where he had found the cattle and noticed footprints of cows leading to a house.

Xhakaza could not go any further as it was getting dark, so he decided to return to the house the following day.

When he got to the house, he spoke to a woman who said that the cows were in her back yard and she locked them up.
Xhakaza then took the cows to his yard, but there was no sight of the three missing calves.

On the Sunday after taking his cow’s home, he returned to find out what really happened to his calves.

Children in the area said that a green trailer stopped and picked up the calves, then drove off.
