Three men have been arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm after neither one of them took responsibility for the gun.
On Friday, January 5 at 04:30 police visited a shack situated at Old Coronation. As officials searched the place a gun was found and the three were arrested. Now the task at hand for police is to find out who the firearm belongs to.
In the early hours of Saturday, January 6 police were performing a stop and search operation at the Middelburg Toll Plaza on the N4 highway.
Police stopped a silver Polo to search it.
All four occupants were asked to step outside the vehicle. Officials found two firearms and asked for the licenses which were not produced.
All four men have been arrested.
