WITBANK NEWS reported on January 12 about the assault that occurred on Saturday January 6 that left Sibuyi in a critical state.

Five days after the attack the suspect gave himself over to Witbank Police Station and briefly appeared in court on January 11.
Words echoed against the empty courtroom where the man stared in front of him.

Magistrate, Daleen Venter told the emotionally drained suspect,

“You will be appearing in court on February 27 and must be here at 8:30 that day.”

The suspect received bail of R2000 until his next court appearance.
