No strike in eMalahleni

A Whatsapp message has been doing the rounds saying that a massive strike will take place at all Dischem stores.

This will allegedly take place on Wednesday, January 24. No reports of any unrest will take place in eMalahleni, as this strike might only take place in Gauteng.

An informant said that they have been monitoring the situation at Dischem in Highveld Mall, as well as notifying the police, response units and more.

“As far as we know, there will be no protest action at Dischem in Highveld Mall. We have spoken to the relevant people and everyone is aware of the situation. We will handle the situation, should unrest arise as we are prepared and carry knowledge of this,” said the informant.
