A man died in hospital after succumbing to head injuries.
On Thursday, January 11 at 01:30 a police officer on duty was stopped by a group of people at Lekazi Ground in Old Coronation to attend a murder scene.
A man was found lying in a pool of blood. The policeman called the ambulance to transport the man to hospital.
At the time of being admitted to hospital the man was still alive. A few hours later he passed away.
The deceased has not yet been identified.
