Police join forces with the SACCW
“I believe that they catch criminals through communicating all the relevant information through Zello and they have successes on a daily basis. Who am I, then, to not work with them? They are doing a great job in our community and the statistics speak for themselves,”

Capt Tshidi Mamarega decided to join forces with the South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW). This decision was made after she was promoted to captain from warrant officer on 18 December. She is also the captain of Sector 2.
She said on Wednesday, January 17 that the members of the SACCW are always quick to respond and that they are already there when you need them.

David Wessels, Rudi Botha, Johan Zwart, Hendrik Engelbrecht, Jan Vermaak, Koos Farrel, Piet Wassenaar, Maureen Scheepers, Gavin Gates, Capt Tshidi Mamarega and Stanley White.

Mr Stanley White from the SACCW said that Sector 2 have been without a manager from the police for more than two years and that it is a great honour to have someone assisting them in fighting crime.
“We have done well so far; the record speaks for itself as the Brigadier also said during a meeting. We in Del Judor, extension 4 have the lowest crime rate followed by Seekoeiwater,” added White.
He said that the SACCW works together as a team which is contributing to their success rate and that this sector manager is on the ball, which will also make a difference.
“All we want is for the community to stand together and report what they see. We have a Zello line, which is a much faster way to get a responder out, as well as our Whatsapp group. We as a group have the ability to get hold of someone for assistance and stand together in fighting crime,” White concluded.
