The community of eMalahleni and the whole nation were shocked after the kidnapping of a 13 year-old girl and a 15 months old baby.
The Shabani family in Hlalanikahle are now living in fear after their two children were kidnapped in the early hours on Sunday, January 28.
Mother Ms Anna Shabani (50) related how she was awakened by the sound of breaking glass and shocked when she saw three suspects breaking her window. Ms Shabani screamed for help and eventually the suspects were inside her sitting room; one of the suspects was armed and told her to freeze.
The suspects after kidnapping Gabisile Shabani went ahead and kidnapped baby Nkosikhona Welcome Ngwenya from her mother Ms Nompumelelo Ngwenya (18). Gabisile is living with albinism.
Police have opened a housebreaking and kidnapping cases and are investigating.
