The suspects in a white Mercedes Benz robbed another couple of an undisclosed amount of money.
The incident happened on Monday, February 5 in Steenkamp Street.
A couple went to a bank to withdraw a large sum of money. At the bank they were apparently warned to be on the look out for a white Mercedes Benz.
The couple then decided to go to see if their television was repaired, when they pulled into the parking lot, the white Mercedes Benz stopped there.
Armed suspects jumped out of the vehicle and went straight to the couple’s vehicle.
The suspects grabbed the woman’s handbag and the large sum of money, before they jumped back into the white Mercedes Benz and disappeared.
SACCW Operations Co-ordinator received a direct call of an armed robbery in progress in Steenkamp Street.

SAPS were dispatched and SACCW responders, they all rushed to the scene but the suspects had already fled onto the N12.
SAPS immediately went to search for the suspects but to no avail.
The parking area in Steenkamp Street where the armed robbery took place on Monday, February 5.
The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount and the victims handbag.
The police urge the public to not withdraw large sums of money; try to avoid using this method of payment to prevent these types of robberies.

“This is not the first incident that this vehicle has been involved in,” said Sgt. David Ratau spokesperson for Witbank Police Station.
