After a distress call from a farm worker, a man found his cattle slaughtered and some missing.
It is alleged that on Monday, June 18, a man received a call from one of his farm workers saying that the fence had been cut.
The man rushed back to his plot and found two of his cattle slaughtered next to the fence and the other two were missing. No arrests have yet been made.
Another cattle owner also suffered a loss due to cattle theft. It is alleged that on Thursday, June 21, Mr Vusumuzi Lawrens Sindane received a phone call from the man with whom he shares a farm.

“He told me that two of my cattle were missing, so I drove from Middelburg to come and see what was going on,” said Mr Sindane.
“When I arrived on the farm, two of my heard men were drunk, fortunately the third member could tell me what was going on.”
The heard man alleged that the cows went missing on Thursday, June 21, but they only noticed it on Friday, June 22, when there were two calves that couldn’t drink.
“I spoke to the investigator yesterday and I was told that they have not yet found the suspects,” concluded Mr Sindane.
