SACCW launching their website soon
The SACCW Witbank (South African Community Crime Watch) will be even more active in the community, by launching their own website.

The SACCW Witbank (South African Community Crime Watch) will be even more active in the community, by launching their own website.
From August 1 the community can interact with this neighbourhood watch, by following the link: https://www.ourneighbourhood.co.za.
Mr Armandus Basson, creator of the website told the WITBANK NEWS what this website is all about.
“Each neighbourhood will have their own page and emergency contact numbers such as the fire brigade, police and more. Each missing person report will be on display, with all the necessary information. Uploads of missing persons can also be done here,” he said.
“The links to the various Zello channels will be at an easy reach, with links to each neighbourhood’s individual channel.”
He continued by saying that there is information available as to what Zello is, how it can be used, and so on.
“Each neighbourhood’s contact person will be available, as well as emergency contacts for each neighbourhood. This will help the community to be added on the correct Whatsapp groups, to stay up to date with what is happening around them.”
He said that community projects will be uploaded as well as and notices about events, meetings and so on. This will be listed per neighbourhood.
“The user friendliness of this was our biggest aim. It can be used by old and young, and we ensured that information is easily accessible. It is not an app. It is a website and can be accessed on Google, via a computer or any smart phone with internet access. The difference between viewing the website on your computer and on your phone, is not much. We tried to keep the format the same, and very simple,” Armandus said.
He added:
“We have made a space to mention and thank our sponsors and the website is mainly to keep our members up to date with what is happening in the neighbourhoods. We have made provision for improvement, so we would like to receive feedback from the community. When the website is launched, please give us feedback about what we can add or improve. We will be monitoring the feedback and we are very open for suggestions. We will improve as far as possible, and if it falls under the legal and practical framework.”
Mr David Wessels, Operations Director said:
“SACCW Witbank will continue to strive to bring the community together in the fight against crime. This website will add so much value to each of the SACCW supported neighbourhood watch groups. We hope to continue to grow by adding even more neighbourhoods in Witbank.”
