
It was reported in the previous weeks that foreigner’s shops are easy targets for robbers.
In the Witbank News of September 7, it was reported that three businesses belonging to foreigners have been robbed. In total R5 535 in cash and in items were taken by force in the different shops in just two day.
Yet again two Ethiopians shops have been robbed. The first shop was robbed at KwaGuqa Empumelelweni in Extension 5 on Thursday, September 6 at about 17:00.
The 38-year-old shop owner reported that he was inside the shop with his two brothers when three suspects entered the shop.

Another foreign owned shop robbed in Vosman
One of the suspects pointed him with a firearm, searched and robbed them of R8 000 in cash. The suspects then fled the scene in a VW vehicle with unknown registration number and make.
The second incident on the same day, September 6, another shop in Vosman was robbed according to the police report.
The 21-year-old victim told the police that he was inside the shop when two suspects entered the shop. One of the suspects asked the price of a cold drink. After that he pulled a gun and pointed him and demanded money.
They searched and robbed them of R5 000 in cash, cigarettes and airtime vouchers. The value of all the items and cash taken is R8 600. The suspects then fled on foot.
No one has been arrested in both cases and police are investigating.
