
While many mourners gathered together to give the well-known businessman a proper send off, his wife remained in police custody.
On Saturday, September 8 the funeral service for Mr Willem Caswell Maseko (30) took place at the God Never Fails Ministries in eMalahleni and from there a convoy of approximately 300 luxury cars travelled to Kromdraai Cemetery where Maseko was laid to rest.
Apart of the mourners at the funeral were Maseko’s ex-wife Ms Thembisile Masanabo (29-year-old) and their five-year-old son.
Masanabo and her son were seated in front of the church with the rest of Maseko’s family members.
In 2013 Maseko and Masanabo got divorced and that is when Maseko got together with the 26-year-old that now is been accused of killing her husband.

According to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Leonard Hlathi two cases of assault were opened at Witbank Police Station two years after the couple met.
According to the guards at the Mareldene Estate, the couple often fought and they had to intervene, however, it was the first time that either of them had used a weapon.

Maseko opened a case of assault against his wife and then three days later she opened a case against him.
Hlathi continued to say that later both cases were withdrawn by the couple.
In 2015 Maseko and his wife got married and they had a traditional ceremony.
They then had two children together; a four-year-old and a four-month-old child which he leaves behind.
