Two hijackings occurred within a day of each other and in one of the incidents a woman alleged that she was raped by the hijackers.
The first incident occurred between Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 when the owner of a white Toyota Quantum received a call from his tracker company.
The owner then contacted this taxi driver and asked if everything was fine and he said yes and that he was going to visit his girlfriend.
The owner of the taxi found this strange as the driver never did this before and his cell phone was off.
He tried to call his driver again, but his phone was still off.
That is when the tracker company phoned the owner again informing him that his vehicle was travelling at high speed on the road between Balmoral and Delmas.
When the vehicle got into Springs the tracker company lost location.
In the second incident the hijacking occurred in the Central Business District (CBD) of eMalahleni, in Walter Sisulu Street.
