Two arrested for explosive wire

Two men were arrested for possession of explosive wire.

The arrests happened on November 28 after police followed up on information of a man who has an unlicensed firearm and explosives in his possession.

This cortex wire was confiscated from a house in Vosman.

The confiscated wire was taken to the explosives unit in Middelburg where it was confirmed that the wire was indeed the kind used to bomb automatic teller machines and drop safes.

The men appeared in court on November 29 and the case was postponed.
