Traffic in Mandela Street came to a stand still when a mother allegedly threw her two month old baby out of the car window.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, December 11 at approximately 10:45.
The mother who was travelling in a white BMW with someone who gave her a lift threw her baby out of the window opposite Highveld Mall.
A bystander saw the incident unfold, rushed and picked up the baby and rushed the critically injured baby to a local doctor.

The vehicle where in the mother was travelling was stopped by other angry eyewitnesses.
From the doctor rooms the baby was transported to Life Cosmos Hospital for further treatment.
The baby is currently in critical condition
