A woman alleges that she was raped by a traditional healer.
The incident happened on Wednesday, December 5 when the woman alleged that a traditional healer came to her mothers place in Duvha Park to perform a traditional ritual.
The traditional healer told her that she had bad demons living inside her and that by using his semen this will cleanse her.
In order for this to happen she must sleep with him, it’s alleged that the traditional healer then raped her.
The woman after the rape went to Witbank Police Station to open a case.
Brigadier Sipho Mokwatlo dispatched police from the station and the traditional healer was arrested.
In a separate case on Tuesday, December 4 in Old Coronation at approximately 07:00 a couple went to the shops leaving their daughter at home.
When they returned at 14:45 and they went inside the house, their neighbour called them over and told them to check on their daughter.
The daughter then told her parents that she was raped.
“During the festive season please make sure you know where your child is. May it be a girl or a boy. Who are your children’s friends and family? Ensure that your caretaker will not harm your child,” said Brigadier Sipho Mokwatlo from Witbank Police Station.
