Balance in an exclusive interview with WITBANK NEWS said they have no idea of what led to the tragedy.

“We are still trying to make sense of it all. This is a very sad time for our family,” he said.

“We have no funeral arrangements yet. Please respect our family in this very dark time.”

Minenhle (8), Blessing (6), Shanique (4) and Ettiene (11 months) were found wrapped in blankets in their house in Klarinet on December 30.

The mother’s landlord, Ms Mathilda Mahlangu said she became suspicious when she saw flies between the curtains and windows of the room.

She said there was an unbearable smell in the yard.

The last time she saw the children was on December 26.
