Stabbing victim seeks help in Amanda Street

She stated that a male was found in their yard

A woman got the shock of her life when she turned around and out of the blue a man covered in blood stood behind her.

On Sunday, January 27 a woman posted on South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) Facebook page asking for help.

“The man climbed over our wall after he tried to cut the fence, he repeatedly asked for water and a cloth to wash his face as he explained that someone spayed something in his face. I also noticed that he was bleeding and that’s when I alerted SACCW,” Mrs Joss van Staden, the home owner explained.

She stated that a male was found in their yard in Amanda Street, Extension 41 for unknown reasons.

Responders from SACCW along with responders from the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and SAPS set out to the scene.

Upon arrival they noticed that the man was covered in blood and they managed to confirm that he had been a victim of assault and stabbing.

The man was robbed and he sustained serious wounds.

ER24 was dispatched and they arrived on scene promptly.

The man’s wounds were attended to. He sustained serious wounds on his back and feet.

ER24 stabilised the victim and transported him to hospital.

The man, identified as Vusi Khumalo alleged that he entered the property to seek help.

With a description of the suspects, police along with responders set out on patrol to look for them. Unfortunately the suspects disappeared into thin air and they could not be arrested.
