Brave Hlalanikahle resident pushes out armed intruder during robbery

A man was attacked by two armed robbers at his Hlalanikahle home during the wee hours of the morning.

A Hlalanikahle Phase 4 resident fought off an armed intruder after two men forced their way into his home and robbed him at gunpoint.


According to the police, the incident occurred on September 27 at around 03:00, while the victim was asleep inside his home. The victim told the police that he heard two armed men shouting outside, demanding entry. Before he knew it, they had already forced the dining room door open.

He said the intruders entered the bedroom and held him at gunpoint, covering his face with pantyhose before robbing him of a cellphone and some cash.


The victim was then forced into the sitting room. When one of the robbers stepped outside, the victim said he managed to fight back against the one who remained in the house and pushed him out of the house. The robbers thereafter fled the scene on foot.

No arrests have been made, and police are continuing their investigation.
