Transalloys reaching out to Reach for Life
Reach for Life reached out to 125 learners from nine different schools
Reach for Life were the beneficiaries of school uniforms after they received the goodies from Transalloys.
During the handover ceremony held at Lynnville Hall Mr Theo Morkel, general manager of Transalloys said they were privileged as a company to hand over the uniforms to the children.
The ceremony was held on Thursday, February 7.
Mr Morkel said that they believe that the company does not operate on an island, but within a community and therefore it has a policy in place to make contributions to areas where they operated and where the majority of their employees reside.

“Despite limited resources available, Transalloys spent over R8 million assisting communities in and around eMalahleni during the past financial years,” Mr Morkel pointed out.
Mr Morkel named a few projects that were sponsored by Transalloys: They have converted a classroom into a fully-fledged computer laboratory at Zacheus Malaza High School, they have installed ceilings at Ebenezer Crèche, donated a container and installed electricity, water and sanitation facilities for victims of rape and abuse at Vosman Police Station, they have build an orphanage centre at New Life Church in the city, they also trained 23 people for code 14 drivers licences from Vosman and Clewer, they also offered training to 12 Metallurgy learners in and around eMalahleni, they trained 10 apprentices in and around eMalahleni and approved a sponsorship towards the building of a clinic in Vosman.

“We hope and believe that our contributions to the community will go a long way in building a sustainable community going forward. The recipients of our contributions are the leaders of tomorrow,” added Mr Morkel.
Reach for Life reached out to 125 learners from nine different schools and are under the supervision of the Department of Health.
