Man stabbed to death at petrol station in Van Riebeeck Street

An ambulance was called to examine the condition of the injured person

Not long after the stabbing where the victim died, the suspect was arrested.

The incident occurred on Friday night, March 15 at approximately 21:40 in Ogies.

A community member came to the Ogies police station and reported that at the Caltex garage in Van Riebeeck Street, there was an alleged stabbing.

The police quickly responded to the scene upon the arrival they found an unknown man aged between 35 and 40 years old lying down with an injury on his left leg bleeding profusely.

An ambulance was called to examine the condition of the injured person.

When ER24 arrived on scene they checked the injured person and due to the loss of blood he was declared dead on scene.

While the police were on scene the police asked the bystanders who stabbed him and they gave a lead to the suspect’s residence.

As the police followed the lead to the suspect they alleged that they became shocked when they arrived at the suspect’s place.

The alleged suspect’s shoe that was found covered in blood.

They caught him wearing a tekkie covered in blood and when they searched him they found a knife on him with blood on it.

The suspect was arrested and the motive behind the murder is still unknown.
