Schools are not political grounds
He was wondering as how some parents fight with teachers who are preparing the future of their children
Pastor Isaac Mahlangu speaking as a member of the Emalahleni Men of Destiny said he wants to speak his heart out.
He added to say that he request parents, politicians and members of the community not to use schools as a political ground.
He emphasised that learners should understand that schools are the source of their future.
“Schools are like parents and a family institution for the development our children’s futures. Teachers are working for parents and are paid by the taxpayer’s money. Schools need to be respected and be protected. All professionals including the president of the country are products of schools. Today there are many individuals, parents and members of the community who are busy planting politics in schools,” said Pastor Mahlangu.
He was wondering as how some parents fight with teachers who are preparing the future of their children.
He said the teachers are working under pressure to model children and yet some parents do not notice that.
He said that some children develop a violent tendency after seeing their parents fighting, as children learn by seeing.
He said the government was putting in a lot to improve schools into high standards as some learners are provided with tablets.
“As an organisation we are busy developing a project called ‘Ngena Community Development and Upliftment (NCDU) project that will include life skills, character and building a school’s sports ministry and poverty alleviation programmes. There are people in the community busy forming unconstructive structures just to destroy the society and schools spreading the evil spirit,” added Pastor Mahlangu.
Pastor Mahlangu urged leaders to have good characters and qualities and not to be violent.
He also urged parents to elect the right people to serve in School Governing Bodies (SGB).
“Schools are not places for campaigning, churches should pray for schools and the protection of teachers and learners from evil spirits,” Pastor Mahlangu ended.
