Sunday Schools marching to proclaim the power of the cross

They started with their march from the Assemblies of God Church and marched along Botha Street to Lynnville along Hector Way having lunch at Izodela Development Centre

Different Sunday Schools from different denominations marched proclaiming the power of the cross in the streets of KwaGuqa.

The march was held on Sunday, April 14.

They started with their march from the Assemblies of God Church and marched along Botha Street to Lynnville along Hector Way having lunch at Izodela Development Centre.

They then marched to Thushanang with water points along the route and a break at Mtsuki Building.

The march ended at Sy Mthimunye Stadium in Ackerville.

Organiser and branch chairperson of Sunday School Foundation, Mr Sam Nape said they were aiming at the young children teaching them about the power of the cross and that Sunday School still has a role to play in the society.

Another organiser of the march, Pastor Ray Mabena explained that the yearly march dated some years back and has gained momentum in the past years.

He added to say that Sunday Schools have a role to play as it caters for the spiritual needs of children.

SABC, Ikwekwezi FM, KRS and Emalahleni FM were all invited in the march and information on social media as well as flyers was available.

“We thanked all the churches, children who attended the march. Not forgetting our sponsors and supporters who helped to coordinate the march. Children and teachers are very important stakeholders and we believe that they need to be supported and guided in the correct way.”
