Ballot paper delay at Zacheus Malaza Secondary school – #IMadeMyMark

With over 2000 voters expected to cast their mark at the station Mtsweni said they are more than prepared and well resourced to deal with the influx

Voting is finally underway at Zacheus Malaza Secondary school, in Kwa-Guqa, after voters were made to wait for an hour and a half.

IEC presiding officer at the station, Aaron Mtsweni, said; “the delay was caused by complications in getting the ballot papers out from storage. The ballot papers which should have been kept at the station was stored at Mapule Sindane Primary school instead for safety reasons said Mtsweni, “usually we would have kept the ballot papers here, but because of the lack of security at this school I opted to store them at Mapule Sindane because they have an alarm system there.”

With over 2000 voters expected to cast their mark at the station Mtsweni said they are more than prepared and well resourced to deal with the influx.

“Although our voters roll for this station shows just over 2000 voters registered at this station we are preparing for more people because since it’s national elections people from other regions can show up as well” he noted.
