Tekkie tax is a national fundraising campaign for a proud group of welfare organizations in South Africa, who came together for the biggest campaign of all time.
These welfare organisations believe that “together we can achieve more than our individual effort combined.”
On April 16 two very important mascots met up at Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog (HGH).
HGH are proud sponsors of the tekkie tax initiative.
Happy from Tekkie Tax and Generaaltjie from HGH had a dance off – much to the amusement of the students at HGH.
The campaign started off in 2013 and since its inception, tekkie tax has already raised almost R40 million.
There are currently 12 National Alliance Partners and they represent more than 1 500 local non-profit organisations.
They are: Various SPCA Organisations; SAVF, Famsa, Lifeline SA, Various Child Welfare Organisations, SOS Children’s Villages, Childline SA, Eplilepsy SA, Down Syndrome SA, Sanca, Cansa and Pink Drive.
