Drugs destroy lives

The man was arrested immediately.

Generally speaking, it’s advisable not to do drugs – especially if you value your freedom and don’t want to spend some bonding time with Witbank SAPS.

On May 8, Witbank SAPS were busy patrolling Old Coronation when a community member ran up to them and told them that a man was busy doing drugs in his shack.

The community member was able to point out the shack to the police who proceeded to knock on the door.

The police searched the man’s residence and found 39 pinches of Nyaope.

The man was arrested immediately.

The drugs found in his possession are estimated to have a street value of R1 500.

On May 9, two policemen were on patrol when they received a tip-off that a man was selling drugs in front of Tasbet Spar.

The informant was able to give the policemen a clear description.

Upon arriving at the reported location, the policemen saw a man fitting the description they were given.

Upon spotting the two policemen, the suspect set off running, but was apprehended by the two policemen about 50 meters later.

The policemen searched the suspect and found drugs concealed in his buttocks.

The suspect was arrested on the spot.

Over the past week, four different individuals found themselves getting to know Witbank SAPS a little better after they were found in possession of contraband.

On May 11, the police approached a suspicious individual and asked if he was selling drugs.

He confirmed that he was.

The police offered to buy some, but arrested the individual the moment money exchanged hands.

It is also advisable not to try to sell drugs to policemen.

On May 12, Klipfontein Community Policing Forum (CPF) put in an urgent call to Witbank SAPS – they had apprehended an individual who had been lurking around an empty property, and they believed that he was in possession of drugs.

When Witbank SAPS arrived on the scene, they proceeded to question the suspect and it soon became apparent that he did indeed have drugs in his possession.

The police confiscated the drugs, which were concealed in a plastic bag, and arrested the individual.

These arrests were made possible by the excellent work performed by both the CPF and Witbank SAPS.
