Security camera captures house burglary in Kwa-Guqa

Security video captures Kwa-Guqa house burglary as it unfolds.

Security footage captured a suspect roaming a yard and breaking into a house in Kwa-Guqa Ext 5 in the early hours of September 18.

Homeowner Sydewell Masemula said this was not the first time his home had been targeted.

Camera tampered with

He added that security footage shows the suspect tampering with outdoor cameras before roaming around the yard, opening a window and door, and entering the house.

The suspect fled with a TV and DStv decoder.

“When I woke up, I felt a heavy draught blowing through the house, and that is when I realised I had been burgled,” Masemula said.

Appeal to community

He is appealing to the community for assistance in identifying the suspect seen in the video.

“A case has been opened at Vosman Police Station. Anyone with information can contact the station or myself on 072 132 1587,” Masemula added.
