Siyabatwala Bonke Centre getting children together at MNS

The level of poverty in the area forced Ms Ntombikayise Vilakazi, Ms Noncebo Khoza and Ms Adelaide Khoza to take action.

Three ladies had the same mindset when they started Siyabatwala Bonke Centre in MNS.

The level of poverty in the area forced Ms Ntombikayise Vilakazi, Ms Noncebo Khoza and Ms Adelaide Khoza to take action.

They established the Siyabatwala Bonke Centre in May 2016.

They started with only 50 children but now the number has grown to 198 and the number is growing on a daily basis. The children are just drawn to the centre like a magnate.

“We saw that most of the children need some assistance, we feed them on Tuesdays and Saturdays, every week, with the little we have. We go out of our way to look for funding, it is tough but we do manage,” said Ms Adelaide Khoza.

The children are not only fed but they are taught life skills, drama, poetry and dancing.

During the third anniversary the children showed their skills in a beauty contest, dancing and in drama.

“Our wish is to see our centre with a proper structure and funders coming forward to help us. We just need funding to keep the children in the centre and feed them in more days,” added Ms Khoza.

The management of the centre would like to thank Toyota dealership, Spar and Liquid Mist for making this day extra special for the children.

For information about the centre please contact Ms Adelaide Khoza at: 072 756 3629.
