Take a stand against abortion

From 12-20 weeks, there are certain aspects that ‘qualifies’ you to get an abortion, for example if you have been a victim of rape and more

Sniffing and sobbing prepared you for an evening full of emotion when the Witbank House of Prayer Missions Base introduced Bound4Life.

This was on Sunday, August 4 as part of their 10th birthday celebrations.

They had a weekend full of celebration with praise and worship, and on Sunday they had worship and information regarding Bound4Life followed.

This is a prayer movement adopted by many, who take a stand against abortion and stand for adoption.

Ms Linda Hendriksz explained that they went to Washington DC last year where they witnessed an amazing silent siege for all who stand against abortion.

This emotion-filled Sunday is especially significant as this is the first Bound4Life chapter in South Africa.

“If we keep quiet any longer, the stones will start to cry out,” said Julius Magan.

Linda explained that during the time spent in Washington DC they walked between 12 and 13 kilometres every day, they visited the Holocaust Museum but the highlight of their trip was the Bound4Life Silent Siege they participated in.

“This is the interceding against abortion and for the change of abortion law, we had an hour where our mouths were taped with the ‘life-tape’. This is tape provided by them, not just any red tape. I have never in my life experienced anything like that. We pray for the babies who are not born yet, who are voiceless inside the womb,” Linda said.

She explained that Bound4Life was born in 2004 when a group of 50 young people prayed and fasted for 50 days and 50 nights.

One man had a dream where their mouths were taped and the word ‘LIFE’ written on the tape.

This group then believed that the dream was divine strategy from God on how they should move forward to pray against abortion and for revival for America.

“It is such an amazing, breathtaking experience standing in front of the Supreme Court in Washington DC, standing in the gap and speaking for those who can not speak for themselves. The scripture that really spoke to me is Ephesians 1:4.”

Linda added that, in her opinion, our country has a terrible abortion law, and that anyone from week 1-12 can have an abortion without the consent of a parent, even if you are a minor.

From 12-20 weeks, there are certain aspects that ‘qualifies’ you to get an abortion, for example if you have been a victim of rape and more.

“During our visit to Washington DC we spoke to their head office and realised that they have different chapters in different places. We are the first in South Africa and we are the second in Africa, Kenya has the first chapter in Africa. What makes this so great is the fact that anyone can be a part of this movement but it is important to realise that this is not a protest but a silent prayer movement,” explained Linda. “We will have a silent siege (prayer) every first Wednesday of every month from 17:00 to 18:00 at different locations. The locations will be communicated to everyone via our Facebook page. The alternative is that you can get a red wrist band, with the words ‘Life’ written on it as you then promise to pray daily for the ending of abortion in our country, to obey the word of God and to vote.”

She said that she invites everyone to become a part of this prayer movement.

They had a 10 minute silent siege on Sunday evening, where they prayed for all the unborn babies being aborted daily.
