Kindly take note that the eMalahleni Waste Collection Section had embarked on an illegal strike from Tuesday, August 20 until Thursday, August 22. The strike action encompasses a total of 93 employees.
On August 22, the Municipality took a decision to suspend the 93 participating employees with immediate effect.
The Municipality is currently planning to implement alternative measures to ensure that waste collection services are rendered effectively no later than August 24.
