Direct Sell to donate bowling day funds to cancer community

The owner of the company shared that supporting people battling cancer gives them courage during tough times and reminds them that they are not alone.

Direct Sell has announced that it will donate the proceeds from an annual charity bowling day to CansaHighveld after earning the right to choose where the event’s funds go.

This comes after the event hosted on October 15 by MVM Attorneys in partnership with Harcourts Gold at the Witbank Bowling Club, brought real estate agencies from across eMalahleni together for a day of sport and charity.

According to Riana Haasbroek, owner of the company, she could not think of anyone more deserving of the funds, which amounted to over R15 000, than those battling breast cancer, especially during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“I’ve got a soft spot for cancer survivors – one of the ladies working for me is a 10-year breast cancer survivor,” said Haasbroek.

“My husband also passed away from cancer.”

She added that supporting people facing cancer provides much-needed encouragement during challenging times.

“Supporting cancer patients gives them hope, strength, and courage during one of the most difficult times in their lives,” she said.

“It reminds them that they are not alone. Every act of kindness, love, and encouragement can make a difference.”

Haasbroek went on to stress the importance of unity when standing by those affected by the disease.

“Together we stand, together we fight, and together we give hope,” Haasbroek said.
