France is breaking the barriers to success

Local businessman, France Mnguni is an example of courageous and is definitely taking his business to greater heights.

Hot Mustard, a communications agency, released an official case study about France Mnguni and his sole-founded company called Msiza Power Technologies.

After a quick website search Msiza Power Technologies is involved with a variety of electrical work, ranging from domestic to mining, industrial installations and electrical contracting.

France grew up as an ambitious, intelligent and mischievous child who was raised by a single mother at a farm in Hendrina.

His passion has always been in the electrical field, for that reason, he enrolled for a degree in Electrical Engineering at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) upon after finishing Grade 12.

Lacking financial support from his family placed a great hurdle in his studies seeing that his mother was a domestic worker who hardly made enough money to cater for their basic needs.

Due to financial struggles, France could not complete his studies and was unable to obtain his degree.

“Despite these setbacks, France kept his eye on the goal. To make ends meet, he worked as a part-time employee at a popular supermarket. Although his salary was not enough to fund his Electrical Engineering degree, he saved the little money he had and invested in his education through various short business and electrical courses,” the case study states.

In 2012, France planned on establishing his electrical business, however, discovered that he could not register an electrical company without formal education or experience.

This meant his dream to be a business owner in this field had to be temporarily delayed.

“France did not give up on his dream, he actively sought employment in the electrical field to acquire the necessary experience and to build a reputable portfolio. He worked as a trainee technician for the municipality, and then he later worked as an electrical assistant and draftsman for a mining company. This gave him the necessary experience and a reputable portfolio of work to register his company.”

He managed to register his company in 2015 and also got through an entrepreneurship programme to equip himself as a businessman.

France looks to expand his business even further, he said: “Closing big deals such as the R800 000 deal from Eskom has boosted my confidence, such deals have been an inspiration and a reassurance of future success.”
