Attempted murder case opened

She threatened him with a knife and continued to accuse him of having an affair

A case of attempted murder was opened at Witbank Police Station by a man who alleged that his girlfriend poured hot water over him and he got burnt.

The incident took place on Friday, August 30 in the evening around 19:00 in Del Judor.

The man told the police that he went to sleep on the aforementioned date and found his girlfriend already in bed.

After a few minutes she asked to see his cell phone to see who has he been communicating with when she is not with him.

After going through the phone, she accused him of deleting the chats and the contacts of the people on the phone.

She threatened him with a knife and continued to accuse him of having an affair.

She went to sleep with the knife.

The man tried to take it from her while she slept but she woke up.

The man ran away from the house to a neighbour.

He came back later and when he opened the door, the girlfriend poured hot water on him and he got burnt.

The 24-year-old suspect was arrested.
