Handover of essentials to the Shabane family
She also said that this was a friendly visit in honour of the late Gabasile and Nkosikhona
Mpumalanga MEC for Social Development Ms Thandi Shongwe together with a delegation from the South African Chinese Association visited the Shabane family.
The visit was on Saturday, October 12 at their home in Hlalanikahle.
Addressing during the handover ceremony of essentials to the Shabane family MEC Shongwe thanked the Chinese delegation for their good gesture and assured the Shabane family that they will always support them in partnership with the private sector.
She also said that this was a friendly visit in honour of the late Gabasile and Nkosikhona.
“We will always pray for the family and hope that the spirits of the two children rest in peace. The Mpumalanga government as promised helped the family with many things and we will continue to support them. Through donations from different private sectors we have joined hands even today to bring essential gifts to the family. The Chinese have promised that they will install electrical fence for the safety of the family,” said MEC Shongwe.
The essential gifts to the family include electrical appliances and lap tops.
Chinese delegation also promised that they will also support the local CPF members.
