Security guard ambushed by three armed men

He told the police that they were ambushed by three unknown men who were all armed; Mashego managed to run away but unfortunately was shot in the arm

While on duty in the Klarinet industrial area, two security guards were ambushed by three unknown men, one guard was shot dead and the other guard was shot in the arm.

The shooting took place on Wednesday evening, October 23 at approximately 23:20.

A police officer on duty from Witbank Police Station received a complaint about a murder in Klarinet industrial area while he was patrolling.

When the police officer arrived on scene, he saw Mr Christopher Mashego who alleged that he was on duty with Mr Goodwill Seerane.

He told the police that they were ambushed by three unknown men who were all armed; Mashego managed to run away but unfortunately was shot in the arm.

Mashego then pointed out the vehicle what they used to patrol and his crew member was found lying in a pool of blood.

He was declared dead as he had multiple gun shot wounds.

Seerane’s firearm and cell phone was stolen.
