The suspects explained that they need to drop a friend near Plumer Street.
The victim gave them twenty rand for travel expenses.
When nearing a bridge on their way to Plumer Street, the vehicle stopped and one of the suspects got out of the vehicle, grabbed the victim and threatened him with an axe to hand over all of his possessions.
The victim was left unharmed but without his possessions.
