‘Carsitting’ leads to carjacking

While two friends were busy having a peaceful Sunday afternoon sitting in their vehicle while having a conversation, two armed men spoiled it for them.

It was alleged by one of the victims that two men just appeared out of nowhere on November 3 and pointed both of them with firearms.

It is believed that the owner of the vehicle tried to fight back but was hit with the backside of the suspect’s firearm.

The suspected hijackers then fled the scene with the vehicle.

After Witbank Police was informed, they tracked down the vehicle in Tasbet Park but the suspects already flee.

No arrests were made but the vehicle was recovered.
