Celeste Mouton School of Dance presents The Nutcracker
Her biggest achievement yet was when she won Dancer of the Year 2019 at the World Lyrical Dance Federation
The Celeste Mouton School of Dance will be presenting the Nutcracker this year.
Miecke van Zyl will be performing the role of senior ‘Clara’ in this year’s performance.
She started dancing at the age of three, and is currently busy with her RAD Advanced Foundation ballet training.
She won the CMSD All-round Dancer Trophy for 4 years in a row.
Miecke is trained in Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Ballet and Acrobatics.
Her biggest achievement yet was when she won Dancer of the Year 2019 at the World Lyrical Dance Federation.
She also recieved The Best Senior NEA Performer in Mpumulanga 2018.
She performed in CMSD’s Cinderella, Evolution of Dance and Sleeping Beauty.

Brady Welthagen is dancing the role of the Nutcracker in our upcoming show.
He is a male ballet and contemporary dancer.
He started dancing in February 2017 and has been dancing at Celeste Mouton School of Dance since August 2017.
He is currently busy training for his Intermediate ballet exam in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus.
He has performed in the previous show, Sleeping Beauty in November 2017.
He also was a finalist at the 2019 Dancer of the year for World Lyrical Dance Federation and received numerous dancer for the day awards at various competitions and workshops.
Kayla da Silva will be performing the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Miquel Pieters is dancing the role of the Rat King and the Sugarplum Fairy’s Cavelier.
The concert will take place on November 22 and 23 at the eMalahleni Civic Theatre.
