Finding the Ant-idote

Anthony is known for his alias stage name Ant-idote that came from his life long nickname “Ant” and his believe that music can be an antidote that helps us heal in many occasions

Anton Wasley (26) was always fascinated by music and how it effects the society and you as a person.

From a young age Anthony wanted to persue a career in the music industry.

He regulary went of to watch DJ’s perform on stage and was hooked.

Anthony knew his path and just fell in love with the feeling of mixing and making music as a hobby.

After learning and studying the equipment, putting together his own sound and spin on music, he started sending it around to friends and family.

Shortly after he was approached by a local nightclub who offered him a spot to play.

Anthony said “the night of my first performance I felt the bass pulse through my chest in the DJ-booth, that is when I realized I have to make a career out of this”.

Anthony flew to United Arab Emirates (UAE) to discuss future prospects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, India, Thailand and Greece.

He also perfomed at the World Class “Patio” Night Club in Ahmedbad, Gujarat, India during the celebration of Diwali.

Before returning he also spent some time to learn the Indian culture and exploreheritage sites.

Anthony is going into next year with some “2020” vision.

DJ Ant-idote is set to release his first EP (Electronic Playlist) in all major stores, which will support a unique sound and express the workings of life in eMahlaleni and South African culture as a whole.

Anthony is also going to cross the international stage in middle 2020 to perform in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, India, Thailand and Greece at various festivals.

You can also watch DJ Ant-idote live at this year Ommidam festival in December that also futures the likes of Jack Parrow, Chunda Munki, Das Kapital and a few other intresting artists.
