Each year New Life Church collects and distributes personalised gifts for less fortunate children and elderly in the eMalahleni community.
It’s an exciting way of loving our community in a tangible way in celebration of the ultimate gift received from Jesus.
“We call this our Lovebox project,” said Ms Tammy De Oliveira from New Life Church.
“In the 10 years that this project’s been running, thousands of children and elderly have received beautiful packages at their Christmas parties from complete strangers and we’ve heard amazing stories of how these gifts have made them feel loved. We’re collecting over 1 000 gifts for 14 organisations who serve children and elderly and we need you to help us spread the cheer,” Tammy said.
This is how you can help – Sign up for a Lovebox card at the table in New Life Church’s foyer or online (https://nlchurchwitbank.co.za/love-box-2019/) and you’ll receive the name and details of a person to shop for.
Buy the gift, wrap it and return it with the Lovebox card stuck on the outside on or before December 1.
If shopping isn’t your thing, they have got you covered.
You can make a financial contribution at the information desk towards a gift and their shopping elves will do the work for you.
The organisations New Life Church is supporting with the Loveboxes this year are Huis Betsie Louw, Dignity Shop for the Homeless, Immergroen Old Age Home, New Life’s Children’s Home, Blessings Children’s Ministry, Highveld House, Shamwari 4 Jesus Crèche and Aftercare, Christian Social Council, Mthimkhulu Old Age Community Centre and RATA homes for foster kids.
