Protecting the frontline

A project to protect our men and women in blue kicked off

The South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) in partnership with Witbank Community Policing Forum (CPF) has launched a new project to ensure that the men and women in blue stay protected during the National 21-day lockdown period.

“We would like to call on the community of eMalahleni to assist us in our project ‘Protect our Police’. We are sourcing donations of the following items: Sanitiser, masks, gloves,” explained Maureen Scheepers, operations co-ordinator for SACCW.

“Its important to remember that all essential services do not have the luxury or privilege to stay at home protected from this pandemic, our police are on the frontline and we as a community need to ensure that they stay healthy and protected for them to carry out their duties to keep us safe,” said Scheepers

Anyone willing to assist with donations towards this project please contact Maureen on 082 565 6770 or Nicole Edwards (CPF) on 081 315 0182 directly for safe collection arrangements.

The first delivery to the Witbank Police Station will take place on Monday, April 6.

This will be an ongoing project for the duration of the lockdown.
