A suspect has been arrested after a stabbing incident in Hlalanikahle.
According to Cllr Jappie Msibi the reason for the stabbing of Mr Bongane Mokoena is not known.
He said Mokoena has been a member of his ward committee from 2011 till 2016.
He was stabbed between 09:00 and 10:00 on Tuesday, March 24 and was certified dead after he was taken to a nearby clinic.
Community members rushed to the scene and managed to hand over the suspect who was wearing a security uniform.
The suspect was then arrested by police.
The family is believed to be still busy with funeral arrangements.
