Masked perpetrators hold shop workers at gunpoint during Highveld Park robbery
Gunmen forced a shop occupant to open the till before escaping with cash, cellphones and cigarettes.
Witbank SAPS is investigating a business robbery after four armed men targeted a shop in Highveld Park on Saturday, September 19.
Police reported that the incident occurred at about 19:50. The suspects entered the premises with three concealing their faces with balaclavas, while two were armed with handguns.
Victims ordered to ground
The gunmen pointed weapons at two occupants inside the shop and ordered them to lie on the floor. One was then forced to open the till.
The robbers fled the scene with cash, several packets of cigarettes and two cellphones.
No arrests have been made, and Witbank SAPS’ investigation is ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information to contact Witbank SAPS on 079 891 5570 or 013 655 5052.
