Pastor Andries confirmed that his COVID-19 test came back negative

COVID-19- The only time that it’s good to turn from positive into negative

Ten days after the church leader from Lewende Woord, Pastor Andries van Schalkwyk confessed to the community of eMalahleni that he was the first positive case of COVID -19 in our midst, this confession turned into something mind-blowing…

WITBANK NEWS broke the news on March 31 that the first positive case of COVID -19 was reported. Hours after the news broke; WITBANK NEWS got a phone call from Pastor Andries where he confessed. In just a few hours the news went viral and the Van Schalkwyk family was in most of the residents thought and prayers.

On April 9 Nadine van Schalkwyk announced the miracle on social media stating that the second test of her husband came back and confirmed that his COVID-19 status came back negative.

“It’s been uncharted territory for us. We never thought that it will happen to us. This virus was a word that we became familiar with via media and social media. When Andries travelled to the UK we did not know that a couple of days later the president would announce that SA is in a state disaster. That’s when he changed his ticket to come back home as soon as he could. Because he had light flu symptoms, he rather got himself tested because he travelled to a high-risk country, just to be informed after a couple of days that he is tested positive for the coronavirus, the dangerous virus killing thousands over the world. Yes it was in my house!” said Nadine.

Did this family live in fear? “Not once, not on our watch, Satan,” she added.

As a family they used Holy Communion every day, saying thank you for the healing that belongs to them.

“To be quite honest we would pray and pray for him to go from positive to negative so in the meanwhile I found a little note in my daughter’s room. She wrote down a prayer and by faith declaring ‘from positive to negative’,” Nadine added further.

The van Schalkwyk family can surely say that they do serve a good God as the amazing news came back.

Tonight we can say that he is healed and that sanitizer cannot do for you what the Blood of Jesus can!

Be safe, be responsible but don’t let fear suffocate you because Jesus is the antidote,” she concluded.
