Witbank SAPS is closed again

Services at Witbank Police Station will resume on Saturday, July 4. In the meantime the Community Service Centre will be operating from the Methodist Church.

A fourth positive Covid-19 case has been reported at Witbank SAPS.

“All communities serviced by Witbank Police Station are advised that this police station has been temporarily closed due to one of its members, working at the detective branch tested positive for Covid-19 today,” said Brig Leonard Hlathi provincial spokesperson.

The Community Service Centre will now be operated at the Methodist Church premises at number 1 Louise Street, which is not far from the police station for the convenience of the community.

To access the station, the community can call 082 565 6644 for all emergencies and complaints.

The telephone lines at Witbank Police Station Community Service Centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. However, service delivery will not be hampered.

The building will be decontaminated and services will resume normally at the station on Saturday, July 4.

The SAPS management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this.
